Location and surroundings

Los Balcones de Beatriz is on Calle Cascajal in the Albaicin’s Zenete, with San Miguel Bajo as its nearest reference square. Its position is particularly appealing to travellers who want to explore the quarter’s eastern side and extend their walk towards Sacromonte. From these streets, tiled roofs, bell towers and cypresses accompany the route towards increasingly open ground above the Darro valley.

The suggested walk begins at San Miguel Bajo, reaches San Nicolas Viewpoint and then continues along Camino del Sacromonte. Small Albaicin squares gradually give way to a more open hillside, with the valley separating the path from the Alhambra complex and Sierra Nevada beyond. There is no need to continue all the way to Sacromonte Abbey: each group can choose a turning point according to the heat, available light and enthusiasm for walking.

This is the most demanding of the four suggested outings. It combines climbs and descents, uneven surfaces and sections with limited shade, so start early in warmer months, carry water and avoid smooth-soled shoes. For families, it works better as a there-and-back walk with pauses than as a timed objective. On the return, San Nicolas and San Miguel Bajo provide clear landmarks before the final stretch to Cascajal.

INCREDIBLE The location is exceptional. I had a small problem with the air conditioning and they fixed it immediately, constantly checking on how everything was and showing real availability. Without a doubt, when I return to Granada, I will stay here.

A great place to rest in Granada The place was very nice, very clean and tidy. There was no indication of the wifi, I had to ask, but it was solved without a problem. The coverage was complicated.
