Location and surroundings

La Casita de Cristina starts from Calle Cascajal in the Zenete and is particularly well placed for discovering the transition between the Albaicin and Granada’s lower town. Whitewashed houses, bell towers and small hillside squares lie around it; to the west, the lanes descend towards one of the quarter’s historic gateways. It is a useful starting point for combining a morning in the streets with a cultural afternoon in the centre.

A rewarding route for a small group descends through San Miguel Bajo and the Zenete to Puerta de Elvira. From there, Calle Elvira leads towards Plaza Nueva; a short detour along Caldereria Nueva adds the trading streets on the old approach to the Albaicin. Continue to Granada Cathedral, either saving the interior for another day or including it if the group’s timetable allows.

This works especially well as a one-way exploration, ending among the flatter streets and squares of the centre, where pausing or splitting into different plans is easier. Returning to Cascajal means regaining height, so decide according to the group’s energy rather than rushing. Slopes, cobbles and stepped sections are normal in the Albaicin; dependable footwear helps, and an offline map is useful where narrow facades can weaken reception and every junction seems to offer another inviting direction.

La ubicación sin duda es lo principal, en pleno albaicin y a pocos minutos de casi todos los sitios que visitar, la limpieza del sitio y el trato con los dueños.

INCREDIBLE The location is exceptional. I had a small problem with the air conditioning and they fixed it immediately, constantly checking on how everything was and showing real availability. Without a doubt, when I return to Granada, I will stay here.

Great location. The apartment is good equipped and clean. The owner permitted us to check-in earlier that was very comfortable for us.

Highly recommended It was fully equipped and had a terrace where we could have breakfast with views of the Alhambra. It is also 1 minute from the Mirador de San Nicolás and all the beautiful things Granada has to offer. We couldn't connect to the Wi-Fi.
